Your Shave Care Products are Now Recyclable

By our estimates, Dapper users have helped eliminate over 20 million plastic razors from landfill and oceans since 2019.

HAIR KEEPS GROWING, AND SO DOES THE PLASTIC PROBLEM.

Over 3 billion plastic razors are discarded every year, even in a small country like the UK. That’s thousands of razors every minute. While plastic has its place as a versatile, life-saving material, it adds no real value to our shaving routine. At Dapper, our mission is simple: to create a plastic-free razor for every man in the UK.

By switching to our Safety Razor, you're already taking a step towards reducing your environmental impact by eliminating disposable plastic from your daily shave. Now, let us show you how to recycle those steel blades and refills, making your shaving routine truly waste-free.

WHEN REFILLING YOUR RAZOR, STORE USED REFILLS IN THE RECYCLING TIN.

We recommend storing used blades and refills in a secure container like our Recycling Tin. However, you can also repurpose an old mint tin or a similar metal container.

A metal container is perfect for holding used blades and guards. It keeps you and your family safe by securely storing the blades, and it can be used to transport them safely for recycling. This way, it protects recycling handlers and can be recycled along with the blades once it has served its purpose.

Most people in the UK will take several years to fill a tin the size of Dapper’s. So, choose something sturdy that you don’t mind keeping around for a while. This not only reflects the space efficiency of shaving with Dapper but also shows how hundreds of used blades can fit into a small container, unlike bulky disposable plastic cartridges.

READY TO RECYCLE? FIND A SCRAP METAL DROP POINT OR SEND THEM BACK TO DAPPER.

Important: Most residential recycling programs in the UK aren't equipped to handle razor blades. We recommend checking with your local municipality before attempting curbside recycling.

But don't worry! Most towns and cities have public or private scrap metal facilities that will gladly accept a small tin of steel blades. We suggest finding a local scrap metal facility as your first option.

If you cannot find a local scrap metal drop-off, you can send a full tin of blades and guards back to Dapper. Simply secure the tin, package it well in a box, and post it to:
